I talked to Warlock and apparently there was an update to 107E we missed. Not updating allowed a hacker to get in. They did no damage but they did shut down his server until he could find how they got in and fix it. It was nice talking to Warlock and getting everything straighten out.
Please note he only host the forums and info pages for us under legendsoftalanith.com I keep any downloads and other FTP stuff on the main server that is hosted by Bluehost.com. Those of you who do access the FTP site for the mod are using swords.cc not the forum's server.
Only Warlock, Myle and I can access FTP the forum server. This is to protect the forums as much as possible. Warlock has some great security and means to deal with folks who try to hack us. He's nice and nasty that way.
The forums are backed up monthly and I do some minor backups each week. Sorry they were down for a few hours but the good news is we lost nothing. I'm working on it really I am, ignor the sunglasses, lounge chair and drink in hand.
